RNP in South Province Nyanza City arrested a man called Gashugi suspected to have burnt his wife and nephew. Witnesses report that the fire struck on Monday,11,August around 11 AM.
Munyantwali Alexis told Umuseke that after hearing noises from Gashugi household ,he came to find more on what was happening around.He found Gashugi outside,carelessly looking at what was happening to his house.
Munyetwali broke up the door,entered to rescue people inside but he found the wife laying down without any movement.
Seemingly according to Munyentwali Gashugi killed them before burning them in his house.
“Gashugi told me that they was no need to intervene,claiming that it was too late”said Munyentwali.
Munyentwali added that they found the nephew of Gashugi,a dead three months old baby,near an inner bed.
The wife Nyirangendahimana Emerita underwent a mental illness treatments at Ndera Psychiatric Center.Local population affirm that the couple was frequently disputing on Gashugi’s suspected adultery with other women.
Mbarubukeye Vedaste,exective secretary on Busoro told Umuseke that the couple was recently living calmly.However according to him the latest disputes among the couple arose in 2008.
Police in South Province told Umuseke that Mr Gashugi is arrested and will be soon brought to justice due to the crimes he is suspected to have committed .
